Our Story

I left the comfort and security of parental support in Africa at the age of 20 and travelled overseas to England in search of my independence. Upon my return to the United States, I joined the United States Navy enlisted ranks to serve. While in basic training, I received a call that my father had passed. In that moment, I recalled all that he had taught me about self-leadership. His profound challenging words of “Son, I want you to excel me!” rang deeply in my mind as I thought of his own accomplishments of being a world war veteran and a renowned university professor with a terminal degree. I had to find fulfillment in my self-leadership.

My 23-year journey of excellence through the enlisted to commissioned ranks in the US Navy did not bring me fulfillment. My educational accolades and achievements did not bring me fulfillment. My successes as a leader in various social circles did not bring me fulfillment. My sense of fulfillment was not to achieve my father’s wish, but to discover my own calling. Yet I never found that fulfillment in all my accomplishments until I began adding value to others!



Our Story Continues

I discovered an entrepreneurial passion for professional leadership and organizational transformation. I had become influential and impactful in growing leaders from my military service to my circle of influence around the world under the mentorship of the famous Dr. John C. Maxwell. It was then that the need and seed for GLOBAL REACH Leadership Institute, Inc, was conceived.

The circle of faithful teachers, coaches, and clients around the world who believe in us and our vision, commit every day to changing lives. They do so by becoming agents of change, impacting the lives of many.

GLI was born out of a need-a gap in professional and personal wellbeing that unearths a leader’s purpose by having a healthy and well-balanced mental, physical and socially sound state of being to lead others. Today, we are a global entity with coaches around the world who care about helping others transform their lives from where they are to where they want to be-one training, mentoring or coaching session at a time.
